Collecting sources of news into an email
Mailfomo is a daily top links aggregator, sending you the most popular links of the day to your email. Never fear of missing out again.
Styled with SASS and Tailwind, developed with React and for authentication used JWT authentication as a client-side-based stateless session.
Idea
The inception of Mailfomo came from the need to streamline the consumption of news from various sources. Scrolling through subreddits, Twitter, and news sites like HackerNews can be time-consuming. Mailfomo addresses this issue by aggregating news from these platforms and delivering it directly to users' inboxes.
Currently, it supports content aggregation from Reddit, HackerNews, and Twitter. Users can personalize their news feed by selecting specific sources or topics of interest.
A single view of adding a single source, such as Subreddits.
The sources page, where the user would link their favourite sources with their email address, which would be sent daily.
Development Process
Tools
Built with React, leveraging the power of TypeScript for improved code quality and maintainability. Styled the application using SASS and Tailwind CSS for a responsive and modern design. Conceptualized and designed the user interface using Figma. Translated Figma designs into functional React components. Prioritized intuitive navigation and an engaging user experience.
Authentication and Security
Implemented JWT authentication to ensure a secure and stateless session management on the client side. Created the CRON job to send emails everyday the users that are subscribed.
Challenges and Learning
Addressing the challenge of aggregating content from diverse sources while maintaining performance. Learned advanced React patterns and state management techniques to handle dynamic content efficiently.

My own product: personalised birthday, Valentine's and New Year websites you make in a few minutes, pay for once and send as a link, or schedule to land in someone's inbox at the right moment.
Cimerat
An app for finding a room or a roommate in Kosovo. Owners post their rooms, people looking post themselves with a budget, and the search understands the many ways people write Albanian.
InstaListDiff
A free tool that shows who doesn't follow you back on Instagram, using the data export Instagram gives you. Everything runs in the browser, so nobody has to hand their login to a third-party app.
